Makeup Collection

I have just recently gone through all my makeup and thrown pretty much all of it away. Most of it was unused or expired. So I am now going to start building up my makeup collection based on what I need and use often as opposed to the random colors and shimmers that I had before. My makeup collection is very small right now. Most of my products are drug store brands because I don't think you really need to spend a ton of money on makeup (especially when your a student like me). One brand that is very cheap and I like a lot is e.l.f. It stands for eyes, lips, face. I really like all of their stuff, you can get a palette of eyeshadow for around $8. It all works pretty great too. I will continue to update about my makeup as I build up more and more, some things I want to try and get soon are the hypershine lip glosses from e.l.f. and one of the smokey eye sticks from covergirl (I also really like everything from covergirl).

Revlon Straightener Review

So today I broke my old conair flat iron... so i just went to Meijer (a local grocery store if you don't know what that is) and bought a flat iron that was on sale. I got the Revlon flat iron with a 1 1/2 inch width. It has different temperature settings and heats up in around 30 seconds. Mine is purple I think it comes in other colors and sizes. It has ceramic plates and is supposed to keep your hair from getting frizzy and make it look smooth. I have to say, I didn't know what to expect from this since I am used to using a more expensive straightener and I have used it for about 3 years now. However, this flat iron is AMAZING. I got it for $19.99 on sale, I think normally it was around $25. It gets very hot it has different settings but I really liked that it is super lightweight and works really great. It also comes with a heat resistant pouch/pad for it to be stored in or set on while your letting it heat up. I thought this was great because in a college dorm room the desk top or table top that has to be used is not always the safest to have heat resting on it. It also straightens my hair much faster than my old expensive straightener did. So if your looking for a new flat iron, I would definitely recommend this one!

Hey There...!

So I decided to start a blog about the hair, makeup, and fashion items and ideas that I love and use in my life all the time. I believe that looking and feeling your best can have a huge impression on the people around you and can help you do your very best no matter what you are doing. Most of the stuff that I will be reviewing and talking about on here will have to do with my personal experiences in these categories, so it is not just random ideas that I have taken from the internet or whatever! So check it out and see what you think!
